SPANISH LADY (SOLD)
Inspired by visits to Malaga, Spain and seeing the Jean Miro exhibition.
This is a portrait of a Spanish Lady done using acrylic inks, and iridescent medium.
It was produced and SOLDin the form of Art greetings cards
HANNIBAL'S ELEPHANT ARMY
This depicts Hannibal's part in the Second Punic Wars against the Roman Empire.
After crossing the Alps with his army including many elephants, Hannibal, of Carthage, had significant early success against the Roman Empire.
This is a line-and-wash painting using gouache colours, and Derwent Inktense pencils. It is done in the illustrative style of early-styled 20th school History books, which is probably regarded as unfashionable today.
PADDINGTON STATION LONDON
A TRIBUTE TO JOHN YARDLEY
This watercolour painting is of Paddington Station, London, and was SOLDsome time ago.
In the painting, I made use of greys, blues and masking fluids, to develop highlights, such as the steam and smoke.
It is a sincere tribute to the famous English painter John Yardley, who's work I very much admire.
